As a Software Test Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Test Planning: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to create detailed test plans and strategies for software projects, including both manual and automated testing.
- Test Case Design: Designing and documenting test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts based on project requirements.
- Test Execution: Executing test cases, performing functional, regression, and integration testing, and reporting defects and issues.
- Automation Testing: Developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts using Java and Selenium to ensure efficient and thorough testing.
- Manual Testing: Conducting manual testing when required, particularly for areas where automation is not feasible.
- Defect Tracking: Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects and issues, and working closely with the development team for their resolution.
- Quality Assurance: Ensuring that software products meet and exceed quality standards and are ready for release.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously improving testing processes, methodologies, and automation frameworks to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Skills:
To excel in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:
- 2-5 Years of Experience: A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on both manual and automated testing.
- Java: Strong coding skills in Java for test script development and automation testing.
- Selenium: Proficiency in using Selenium for automated testing of web applications.
- Automation Testing: Familiarity with automation testing tools and the ability to contribute to automation efforts.
- Manual Testing: Proficiency in manual testing methodologies, including test case design and execution.
- Test Planning: The ability to create comprehensive test plans and strategies aligned with project requirements.
- Defect Tracking: Strong skills in identifying, documenting, and tracking defects and issues.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
