We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our Quality Assurance team at our Gurgaon location. As an SDET at CARS24, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications. Your expertise in diverse testing disciplines, project management, and Agile methodologies will be instrumental in upholding our quality standards.

- Testing Expertise:
- Showcase your proven mastery across diverse testing disciplines, including Manual testing, API Testing, Database testing, SQL, Postman, Mobile Application testing, and Web testing.
- Create and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution.
- Quality Assurance Proficiency:
- Leverage your demonstrated experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or in a similar role to uphold and enhance quality standards.
- Collaborate with the development team to establish quality benchmarks and ensure adherence.
- Project Management Skillset:
- Utilize your experience in project management to oversee testing processes effectively.
- Apply a sound understanding of QA methodology to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.
- Agile and Regression Knowledge (Bonus):
- If you have familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing, it will be advantageous, although not mandatory.
- Collaborate with Agile development teams to integrate testing seamlessly into the development process.
- Error Resolution Capability:
- Demonstrate competency in documenting and troubleshooting errors, contributing to efficient issue resolution.
- Work closely with developers to provide clear and actionable defect reports.
- Testing Tools and SQL Expertise:
- Utilize your proficiency in test management software and SQL to create and execute test scripts.
- Showcase your command over testing tools and database querying for efficient testing processes.
- Effective Communication:
- Maintain excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate seamless collaboration within cross-functional teams.
- Act as a bridge between development and testing teams, ensuring clear communication of testing goals and results.
- Meticulous Attention:
- Apply a keen eye for detail to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.
- Verify that all aspects of the software meet specified requirements and standards.
- Analytical Thinker:
- Possess an analytical mindset and adept problem-solving skills to identify and address issues effectively.
- Analyze test results and provide meaningful insights to improve product quality.
- Organisational Acumen:
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills to streamline testing processes and meet project timelines.
- Prioritize testing activities based on project requirements and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in software testing and quality assurance.
- Proficiency in Manual testing, API Testing, Database testing, SQL, Postman, Mobile Application testing, and Web testing.
- Strong project management skills with an understanding of QA methodology.
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing (bonus).
- Competency in error documentation, troubleshooting, and resolution.
- Proficiency in test management software and SQL.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Meticulous attention to detail and analytical mindset.
- Strong organizational skills.
