Position: Senior SDET
Location: Bengaluru, India
Job Summary: Trellix, a leading company in the [specific industry], is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior SDET to join our team in Bengaluru. As a Senior SDET, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and scalability of our software products through effective test planning, test case design, code review, bug analysis, and the development of test tools. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable software and possess strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Experience with Agile/SCRUM methodologies, bug tracking systems, and networking and security concepts is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop effective test plans and strategies.
- Design and develop test cases to ensure comprehensive coverage of software functionalities.
- Conduct code reviews and bug analysis to identify and resolve issues.
- Develop test tools and frameworks to enhance the testing process and efficiency.
- Execute test cases, analyze test results, and report defects using bug tracking systems like JIRA.
- Work closely with developers and stakeholders to drive issue resolution and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
- Contribute to the overall development process, including Agile/SCRUM methodologies and adherence to quality processes.
- Possess a deep understanding of the product and its features to provide valuable insights and contribute to its improvement.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to software quality and actively work towards improving the testing process.
- Utilize test management tools like TestRail, X-Ray, etc., to organize and track test activities.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Work independently and proactively to identify and resolve issues.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.
- Perform manual testing and automation testing as required, with a good understanding of both areas.
Requirements:
- 3-8 years of experience in product testing, including experience in code review, bug analysis, and test tool development.
- Proven track record of shipping high-quality, scalable software.
- Strong debugging skills and excellent problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and cross-functional groups to resolve issues and meet tight deadlines.
- Highly motivated and passionate about software quality.
- Good understanding of the Quality Process/Test Lifecycle and defect lifecycle.
- Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM methodologies and the overall development process.
- Knowledge of bug tracking systems like JIRA.
- Strong technical knowledge of Networking and Security concepts.
- Understanding of Linux operating systems and comfortable with basic administration.
- Experience using Test Management Tools such as TestRail, X-Ray, etc.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others.
- Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work with various stakeholders and independently resolve issues.
- Knowledge of Python automation would be a plus.
- Proficient in both manual and automation testing.
