Position: Quality Engineer

Location: Bangalore (Primary)

Responsibilities:

As a Quality Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:

  1. Automation Framework Design and QA:
    • Utilize your 3+ years of experience to design and develop automation frameworks for testing purposes.
    • Collaborate with the development team to ensure high-quality software products are delivered.
    • Implement best practices for test automation and ensure scalability and maintainability of the automation framework.
  2. Agile Environment:
    • Apply your experience as a QA Engineer in an agile environment.
    • Participate in agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software increments within agile timelines.
  3. Test Automation Framework Setup:
    • Demonstrate skills and experience in setting up test automation frameworks.
    • Identify appropriate tools and technologies for test automation and ensure seamless integration within the existing infrastructure.
    • Implement robust test automation strategies to accelerate the testing process and improve overall product quality.
  4. UI Automation and BDD:
    • Leverage your experience and knowledge in working with UI automation frameworks like Selenium.
    • An additional advantage would be experience with the Cucumber BDD framework.
    • Develop and execute UI automation scripts, ensuring comprehensive test coverage for user interfaces.
  5. Docker, Git, and CI/CD:
    • Possess working knowledge of Docker and Git for effective test environment management and version control.
    • Hands-on experience with CI pipelines/tools such as Jenkins and Github to facilitate continuous integration and delivery processes.
  6. SQL and API Testing:
    • Be familiar with writing SQL queries to retrieve and validate data for testing purposes.
    • Have experience or exposure to API testing using tools or custom automation solutions.
    • Validate the functionality and performance of APIs, ensuring they meet the required specifications.
  7. Test Planning and Test Case Writing:
    • Utilize a minimum of 3 years of experience in creating test plans and writing effective test cases.
    • Define comprehensive test strategies, test scenarios, and test cases based on requirements and acceptance criteria.
    • Execute test cases, analyze results, and collaborate with the team to address any issues or defects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in automation framework design and quality assurance.
  • Strong experience as a QA Engineer in an agile environment.
  • Proficiency in setting up test automation frameworks.
  • Solid experience with UI automation frameworks like Selenium.
  • Additional experience with the Cucumber BDD framework is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Docker, Git, and CI/CD tools.
  • Familiarity with writing SQL queries.
  • Experience in API testing using tools or custom automation.
  • Hands-on experience with CI pipelines/tools such as Jenkins and Github.
  • Strong skills in test planning and effective test case writing.
