Role and Responsibilities: As a Quality Engineer at Altera Digital Health, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our digital healthcare solutions. You will collaborate closely with our development and product teams to design, execute, and automate comprehensive testing strategies. Your expertise in manual and automation testing, combined with strong analytical skills, will be critical in delivering high-quality software that meets the needs of our clients and patients.

- Conduct thorough manual testing of our healthcare software applications to identify and report defects, ensuring optimal functionality and usability.
- Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product features and requirements, translating them into effective test cases.
- Leverage your strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, isolate, and track defects, and work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
- Utilize industry-standard testing methodologies to verify software functionalities, performance, security, and compatibility across various platforms.
- Employ automated testing tools, with a preference for expertise in tools such as Ranorex and Selenium, to create, maintain, and execute test scripts.
- Continuously improve and expand the automation test suite to enhance test coverage and efficiency.
- Utilize TFS/MTM for test case management and defect tracking, ensuring comprehensive documentation of testing activities.
- Collaborate with software developers to understand the underlying code and contribute to the development of robust automated tests.
- Possess strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) skills, preferably in C#, to enhance automation capabilities.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum methodologies, attending daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings as required.
- Actively contribute to the enhancement of testing processes, methodologies, and best practices within the Quality Assurance team.
- Communicate effectively with team members, sharing testing progress, results, and potential roadblocks.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience of 2-4 years in software quality assurance, manual testing, and automation testing.
- Proficiency in manual software testing methodologies and processes.
- Strong understanding of automation testing concepts and hands-on experience with UI Automation Tools, particularly Ranorex and Selenium.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of TFS/MTM for test case management and defect tracking.
- Familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts, preferably in C#.
- Solid analytical and troubleshooting abilities to effectively isolate and report issues.
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- A proactive and self-driven attitude, with the ability to work independently and within a team.
- Prior experience in the healthcare domain is a plus but not mandatory.
