- Review of Requirements: Thoroughly review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
- Test Planning: Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Testing Activities: Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities to ensure the highest quality of our software.
- Automation: Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools to streamline the testing process.
- Bug Tracking: Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs. Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Process Improvement: Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
- Collaboration: Liaise with internal teams, including developers and product managers, to identify system requirements and ensure seamless communication.
- Monitoring: Monitor the debugging process results and investigate the causes of non-conforming software. Train users to implement solutions effectively.
- Metrics Tracking: Track quality assurance metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts, to continuously improve our processes.
- Stay Current: Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies to ensure our QA practices are state-of-the-art.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- Methodologies: Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Testing Techniques: Proficiency in both manual and automated testing techniques.
- Automation Skills: Experience with test automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Selenium, Python, etc.).
- Tools: Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, etc.).
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
- Communication: Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
