Responsibilities:

  1. Test Planning and Design:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and specifications.
    • Develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and design documents.
  2. Test Execution:
    • Execute manual and automated test cases to validate software functionality and identify defects.
    • Conduct regression testing to ensure that previously identified issues have been resolved.
  3. Defect Reporting and Tracking:
    • Identify, log, and track defects using bug tracking systems.
    • Work with developers to investigate and resolve defects in a timely manner.
  4. Test Automation:
    • Work on test automation frameworks using industry-standard tools and technologies.
    • Implement and maintain automated test scripts to increase testing efficiency.
  5. Performance Testing:
    • Conduct performance testing to assess application responsiveness and stability.
    • Identify performance bottlenecks and work with the development team to resolve them.
  6. Documentation:
    • Prepare and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
    • Document test results, defects, and other relevant information for future reference.
  7. Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains in the QA process.
    • Contribute to the enhancement of testing practices and methodologies.
  8. Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with the development team and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and technical specifications.
    • Participate in project meetings and provide valuable inputs from a QA perspective.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience as a QA Engineer, with a strong background in software testing.
  • Solid understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in manual testing and experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of bug tracking systems and defect management processes.
  • Familiarity with performance testing and load testing concepts and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of programming languages and scripting is a plus.
