Summary: SOWEDANE is currently seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our team. The QA Engineer will be responsible for reviewing quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback. They will create detailed test plans and test cases, estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate quality testing activities. The QA Engineer will play a critical role in developing and executing exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality, as well as reviewing system requirements and tracking quality assurance metrics. The ideal candidate will have an engineering background and be able to provide end-to-end solutions to software quality problems.

Responsibilities:

As a QA Engineer at SOWEDANE, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  1. Reviewing Quality Specifications: Reviewing quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback to the development team.
  2. Test Planning: Creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases to ensure thorough test coverage.
  3. Test Execution: Designing and implementing tests, both exploratory and automated, to verify software functionality and identify defects.
  4. Defect Management: Tracking and managing defects, including defect densities and open defect counts, to ensure they are addressed in a timely manner.
  5. Test Coordination: Estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating quality testing activities in collaboration with the development and product teams.
  6. Debugging and Corrective Actions: Debugging issues and defining corrective actions to address software malfunctions and meet quality standards.
  7. Software Requirements Review: Reviewing system requirements to ensure testability and alignment with quality standards.
  8. End-to-End Solutions: Providing end-to-end solutions to software quality problems, working closely with the development team to resolve issues.
  9. Pre-Product Launch Testing: Conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs while being cost-effective.
  10. Quality Assurance Metrics: Monitoring all stages of software development and tracking quality assurance metrics to identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  1. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer or similar role.
  2. Test Planning: Strong experience in creating detailed test plans and test cases.
  3. Test Automation: Hands-on experience in both exploratory and automated testing.
  4. Defect Management: Proficient in defect tracking and management processes.
  5. Engineering Background: Hold an engineering background, preferably in Computer Science or a related field.
  6. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex software issues and define effective corrective actions.
  7. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  8. Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail to ensure thorough testing and accurate defect reporting.
