Position: QA Engineer (Scripting – Python, Shell)

ClearTrail, a leading provider of communication analytics solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA Engineer with expertise in scripting languages such as Python and Shell. As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through comprehensive testing and automation. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of ClearTrail’s software products.
  2. Collaborate closely with the development team to understand product requirements, design, and functionality.
  3. Design and implement automation scripts using scripting languages such as Python and Shell to streamline the testing process and enhance efficiency.
  4. Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies, and work closely with the development team to resolve issues.
  5. Conduct performance testing to evaluate system response times, scalability, and stability.
  6. Develop and maintain test data, test environments, and test infrastructure to support ongoing testing efforts.
  7. Participate in code reviews and provide valuable feedback to ensure high-quality software development practices.
  8. Stay updated with industry best practices, new testing tools, and technologies, and apply them to improve the testing process.
  9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of software components and resolve any compatibility issues.
  10. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide timely updates on test progress, issues, and resolutions.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience as a QA Engineer or a similar role with a focus on software testing and quality assurance.
  3. Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in scripting languages such as Python and Shell.
  4. Proficiency in designing and executing comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  5. Experience with test automation frameworks and tools, such as Selenium, PyTest, or Robot Framework.
  6. Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  7. Experience in performing functional, regression, and performance testing.
  8. Familiarity with SQL and databases for data validation and testing.
  9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  11. Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  12. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.
  13. Experience in the telecommunications or communication analytics industry is a plus.
