Position: QA Automation Tester
Location: Mumbai/Chennai/Pune
Job Summary: Fixity Technologies is seeking an experienced QA Automation Tester to join our dynamic and innovative team. As a QA Automation Tester, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in automation testing using Selenium and Java, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and Java to ensure the reliability and quality of our software products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and business analysts, to understand software requirements and develop comprehensive test plans.
- Execute automated test scripts and analyze test results to identify and report defects, ensuring proper documentation and tracking of issues.
- Participate in test planning, test case reviews, and test strategy discussions to contribute to the overall testing framework and ensure test coverage.
- Continuously improve and optimize automated test scripts and test suites for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
- Work closely with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues, providing detailed information and insights to facilitate bug fixes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest automation testing tools, technologies, and best practices, and apply them to improve the overall testing process.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum processes, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in automation testing using Selenium.
- Strong programming skills in Java, with the ability to write and maintain automation scripts using Java-based frameworks.
- Proficiency in creating and executing automated test scripts, test plans, and test cases.
- In-depth knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins) is preferred.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the ability to work in an Agile development environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex systems and software functionalities.
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
