Job Summary: As a QA Automation Tester at Accolite Digital, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products by designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts. Your expertise in automation testing, Java programming, Selenium, and cucumber will be vital in driving the success of our testing efforts. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, design comprehensive test plans, and perform various types of testing to deliver high-quality software products that meet our clients’ needs.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement automated test scripts using various automation testing tools and technologies, with a strong focus on Java, Selenium, and cucumber.
  2. Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, identify test scenarios, and design effective test cases.
  3. Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing to ensure the software meets the specified requirements and adheres to quality standards.
  4. Execute automated test scripts, analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with the development team to resolve issues.
  5. Continuously enhance and maintain the existing test automation framework to ensure its reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
  6. Participate in test planning, estimation, and risk analysis activities to contribute to the overall project planning and execution.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, testing tools, and emerging technologies to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the testing process.
  8. Collaborate with the QA team to develop and maintain test data, test environments, and other testing resources.
  9. Work in an Agile development environment, participating in Agile ceremonies, and contributing to the team’s success in delivering high-quality software.
  10. Provide timely and accurate status updates on testing progress, defects, and overall test coverage to project stakeholders.
  11. Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies to optimize the testing lifecycle.
  12. Mentor and guide junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in automation testing.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience of 4-9 years as a QA Automation Tester, with a strong focus on automation testing using Java, Selenium, and cucumber.
  • Solid understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in writing and executing automated test scripts using automation tools and frameworks.
  • Strong programming skills in Java to develop and maintain automation scripts and test scenarios.
  • Experience with Selenium for web application testing and cucumber for behavior-driven development (BDD) testing.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
  • Knowledge of testing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with version control systems, bug tracking systems, and continuous integration/delivery tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and identify defects.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
