Position: QA Automation Engineer
Location: Pune, India
Vertiv Energy-Global R&D Center is seeking a talented and experienced QA Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team in Pune. As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through both manual and automated testing. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions and contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Perform manual and automated testing of software applications and systems.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks.
- Test REST-based APIs using tools such as Postman or similar.
- Manage bug tracking systems, including logging and tracking defects and issues.
- Utilize Git source control and Azure DevOps for version control and collaboration.
- Test Microsoft ASP.Net (VB.Net or C) and front-end JavaScript frameworks, with a preference for Angular.
- Implement and utilize JavaScript testing frameworks such as Protractor, Jasmine, or similar.
- Validate the functionality and performance of Microsoft SQL Server relational databases through effective query authoring.
- Collaborate with the development team to understand requirements and contribute to the overall quality of the software.
- Work within an Agile development life cycle, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other relevant meetings.
- Learn and adapt to new technologies quickly to stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
- Communicate effectively and articulate thoughts and ideas clearly in English, both verbally and in written form.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (4-year college).
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on testing experience, including manual and/or automation testing.
- Proficiency in testing REST-based APIs using tools like Postman or similar.
- Experience with bug tracking systems and defect management.
- Strong knowledge of Git source control and Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with Microsoft ASP.Net (VB.Net or C) and front-end JavaScript frameworks, with Angular being preferred.
- Experience with a JavaScript testing framework such as Protractor, Jasmine, or similar.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft SQL Server relational databases and query authoring.
- Previous exposure to Agile development methodologies.
- Quick learner with the ability to grasp new technologies and concepts rapidly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
