Role and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to understand requirements and create comprehensive test plans.
  • Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks, with a focus on Java and Selenium.
  • Utilize Rest Assured to conduct API testing, ensuring the reliability and performance of our backend services.
  • Execute manual testing when necessary to ensure holistic software quality validation.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects, working collaboratively with the development team to facilitate their resolution.
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of testing processes, methodologies, and strategies.
  • Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases, test scenarios, and test data.
  • Perform regression testing to validate fixes and enhancements.
  • Participate in code and design reviews, offering insights from a testing perspective.
  • Collaborate on continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to enable efficient testing practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement in QA processes.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as a QA Analyst with 3-5 years of hands-on experience.
  • Strong proficiency in automation testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks, with a primary focus on Java and Selenium.
  • Expertise in API testing using Rest Assured, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of backend services.
  • Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and collaborative team environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently.
  • Experience with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
  • ISTQB certification or any relevant testing certifications are desirable.
