Position: Functional & Automation Engineer
Location: Hyderabad, India

NCR Corporation, a leading global technology company, is currently seeking a skilled and passionate Functional and Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team in Hyderabad. As a Functional and Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our products through rigorous testing and automation. Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop automated test scripts: Utilize testing frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Appium, and Cucumber to design and develop robust and scalable automated test scripts. These scripts will be instrumental in executing various test scenarios to validate the functionality of our software products.
  • Create and execute functional and regression test cases: Work closely with the development team to understand the product requirements and specifications. Based on these requirements, create comprehensive and effective test cases that cover both functional and regression testing. Execute these test cases to identify any defects or potential issues.
  • Conduct manual testing: Perform manual testing to complement the automated test scripts and ensure thorough test coverage. Identify and report defects and potential issues that may arise during manual testing, and collaborate with the development team to resolve them.
  • Collaborate with developers and team members: Work closely with developers, quality assurance engineers, and other team members to identify and resolve defects. Participate in discussions and provide valuable insights to improve the overall product quality and performance.
  • Analyze test results and provide feedback: Analyze test results, identify trends, patterns, and potential areas of improvement. Provide feedback and reports to the development team, highlighting any critical issues or suggestions for enhancing the product’s functionality and performance.
  • Participate in agile development processes: Actively participate in agile development processes, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement: Continuously improve the testing processes, methodologies, and frameworks used within the organization. Proactively identify areas for automation and implement best practices to streamline the testing process and increase efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for testing procedures, test cases, and automation scripts. Ensure that all relevant documentation is up to date, accurate, and easily accessible for future reference.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Functional and Automation Engineer, with 3 to 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong proficiency in designing and developing automated test scripts using testing frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Appium, and Cucumber.
  • Solid understanding of functional and regression testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience with manual testing and defect identification.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with agile development processes and methodologies.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Self-motivated and driven to continuously learn and improve.
