Position: Automation Tester
Location: Pune/Bangalore, India
First Calli is seeking a skilled and motivated Automation Tester to join our team in either Pune or Bangalore. As an Automation Tester, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts using Java and Selenium. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Selenium.
- Collaborate with the development team to understand application functionality and design appropriate test scenarios.
- Execute automated tests to verify the functionality, performance, and reliability of software applications.
- Identify, log, and track defects and issues using bug tracking systems.
- Participate in test planning, test design, and test case reviews.
- Collaborate with the QA team to define and implement effective test strategies and test plans.
- Continuously improve the automation framework and test scripts for maximum efficiency and coverage.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure the quality of deliverables.
- Conduct root cause analysis of defects and propose corrective actions.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and best practices in test automation.
- Provide regular status updates on testing progress and escalate issues as necessary.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members.
Requirements:
- 2-7 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on automation testing.
- Strong proficiency in Java programming language.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for automating web applications.
- Solid understanding of test automation concepts and frameworks.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and practices.
- Familiarity with bug tracking systems for defect management.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Self-motivated with a passion for quality and continuous improvement.
