Job Description

• Quality Engineering Strategy: Develop and communicate a comprehensive quality engineering strategy that aligns with the organization’s business goals and product roadmap.
• Test Architecture: Define and implement the test architecture, including the selection of tools and technologies, to ensure efficient, scalable, and effective test automation.
• Testing Frameworks: Design, build, and maintain testing frameworks that support a wide range of test types, including unit testing, integration testing, functional testing, performance testing, and security testing.
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD): Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline, enabling frequent and reliable software releases.
• Quality Assurance Practices: Set and enforce quality assurance practices, including test planning, test case design, test execution, defect management, and test reporting.
• Metrics and Reporting: Define and track key quality metrics to provide transparency into the quality of software releases. Present findings to stakeholders and drive continuous improvement.
• Technical Leadership: Mentor and provide technical guidance to quality engineers, testers, and automation engineers to enhance their skills and capabilities.
• Tool Selection: Evaluate and select appropriate testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies to support the testing and quality engineering process.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and customer support, to ensure quality is built into every stage of the software development life cycle.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to software quality, proposing preventive measures and solutions

Qualification and Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in quality engineering, software testing, or quality assurance, with at least 4-5 years in a leadership or architect role.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture and design principles.
• Proficiency in various testing methodologies and practices, including test automation, performance testing, and security testing.
• Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining test automation frameworks.
• Strong expertise in using testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, REST Assured, or ReadyAPI, JUnit, TestNG, JIRA, and others.
• In-depth knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools, including Jenkins, or similar.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Certification in software testing is a plus.
