As an ETL Tester at Spruce InfoTech, Inc, you will be a crucial part of our data team, responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our ETL processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to conduct ETL testing, validate data, and contribute to the successful delivery of data solutions. - ETL Testing: Perform end-to-end testing of ETL processes, including data extraction, transformation, and loading, to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Data Warehousing: Work with data warehousing technologies and concepts to validate data pipelines.
- SQL Skills: Write and execute SQL queries to validate and manipulate data.
- Defect Identification: Identify, document, and track defects and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
- Test Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Data Validation: Validate data completeness, correctness, and consistency by comparing source and target data.
- Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to ensure the stability of ETL processes after changes or enhancements.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed test documentation and provide clear and concise test reports.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, developers, and business analysts, to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in ETL testing and data validation.
- Strong knowledge of ETL concepts, data warehousing, and SQL.
- Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries.
- Experience with defect tracking tools and test management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
