Position: ETL Tester

Location: Hyderabad and Chennai

Responsibilities:

1. Perform ETL testing using industry best practices and methodologies to validate the accuracy and completeness of data transformation and loading processes.
2. Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure the quality of data migration and integration projects.
3. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and data engineers, to understand requirements and validate the data transformation rules and business logic.
4. Identify and report any defects or issues discovered during testing, and work with the development team to ensure their resolution.
5. Create and maintain test data sets and test environments to simulate real-world scenarios and validate data migration.
6. Conduct performance testing to assess the efficiency and scalability of ETL processes and identify areas for optimization.
7. Participate in design and code reviews to ensure compliance with testing and quality standards.
8. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in ETL testing and data integration.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Proven work experience as an ETL Tester, Data Quality Analyst, or in a similar role.
3. Strong expertise in ETL testing methodologies and best practices.
4. In-depth knowledge of SQL and experience in writing complex queries to validate data transformation and migration.
5. Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and understanding of data modeling principles.
6. Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, or SSIS.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
8. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively within a team and across different stakeholders.
9. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
10. Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
