Job Summary: As an ETL Tester at CGI, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our ETL processes by designing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify and rectify defects, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions to our clients. Your expertise in SQL, Java, Selenium, and Test Management Tools will be instrumental in contributing to our projects’ success.

- ETL Testing: Perform thorough testing of ETL processes to validate data integrity, accuracy, and completeness.
- Java and Selenium Automation: Utilize your expertise in Java and Selenium to design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for ETL testing.
- SQL Proficiency: Leverage your SQL experience to perform data validation and verification in ETL workflows and databases.
- Test Management Tools: Utilize Test Management Tools such as JIRA and JTMF to track and manage testing activities effectively.
- Script Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance of existing test scripts, ensuring they remain up-to-date and in alignment with evolving project requirements.
- Rest API Knowledge: Familiarity with Rest API testing will be a valuable asset, allowing you to enhance the overall testing process.
- Python and R (Optional): If you have knowledge of Python and R languages, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a wider range of testing tasks.
- Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to understand requirements and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Bug Reporting and Tracking: Identify, document, and track defects using standard bug tracking tools, and collaborate with the development team to facilitate timely resolution.
- Test Planning and Execution: Prepare test plans, test cases, and test data, execute tests, and analyze results to ensure the completeness of test coverage.
- Quality Assurance: Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies, ensuring adherence to industry best practices.
- Communication: Provide clear and concise test status updates and reports to stakeholders and project teams.
Requirements:
- Strong experience in ETL testing, including data validation and verification.
- Proficiency in Java and Selenium for test automation.
- Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases.
- Knowledge of Test Management Tools, preferably JIRA and JTMF.
- Familiarity with Rest API testing (a plus).
- Optional: Knowledge of Python and R languages (an added advantage).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic project environment.
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
