- Design and develop test automation frameworks and automated test benches for embedded software projects.
- Perform verification and validation of embedded software systems for the automotive and locomotive domain.
- Test systems using various communication protocols, including CAN, LIN, CANOpen, SPI, I2C, and UART.
- Utilize tools like CANalyzer/CANoe for testing and analyzing communication networks.
- Develop and execute test scripts and test cases using Python, CAPL, J-Scripts, REST APIs, HTML, and CSS.
- Collaborate with the development team to understand technical requirements and develop effective test strategies.
- Create detailed test plans, test specifications, and test reports to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Ensure adherence to V-Model and Agile methodologies during the testing and development process.
- Identify and report defects and work closely with the development team to facilitate prompt resolution.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve the overall software quality.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in embedded software testing.
- Demonstrate a proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving, taking ownership of testing tasks and delivering high-quality results.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in embedded software testing and test automation.
- Strong proficiency in C programming for microcontrollers, with expertise in embedded C.
- Hands-on experience in working with communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, CANOpen, SPI, I2C, and UART.
- Familiarity with tools like CANalyzer/CANoe for communication network testing and analysis.
- Proficiency in Python and scripting languages like CAPL, J-Scripts, REST APIs, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience in developing test automation frameworks and automated test benches.
- Knowledge of ARM/Aurix microcontrollers is advantageous.
- Familiarity with automotive and locomotive domains and their specific testing requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of V-Model and Agile methodologies for software development and testing.
