Responsibilities:
- Great coding skills (Java, SQL, Selenium, JUnit)
- Version control: Bitbucket/Git
- Solid skills in automation framework design
- Understanding HTML, CSS
- Identify specific cases that should be automated and discuss them with manual QA engineers.
- Build automation scripts/framework for improvement of QA effort during testing.
- Defining Quality Metrics: Defining quality standards and metrics for the current project/product.
- Develop and implement automated test scripts and frameworks for the project management system, covering functional, integration, and regression testing.
- Collaborate with the development and quality assurance teams to understand system requirements, features, and acceptance criteria.
- Design and execute test cases to validate the functionality and performance of the project management system.
- Identify and report defects or issues, ensuring they are accurately documented and effectively communicated to the development team.
- Analyzes defects, performs root cause analysis, and collaborates with others to resolve issues
- Identify and drive opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance systems, procedures, and business processes
- Contribute to the development and improvement of testing methodologies, processes, and tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful deployment and release of software updates and enhancements.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software testing and automation.
- Provide regular reports and updates on test progress, test coverage, and quality metrics to project stakeholders.
- Share knowledge and drive skill development across the teams.
Requirements:
- Overall 3 to 5 Years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Automation Quality Analyst or similar role, with a strong background in software testing and test automation.
- Proficiency in automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, or similar frameworks.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Solid knowledge of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Java) and proficiency in SQL.
- Familiarity with project management systems and concepts is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
- ISTQB or similar certifications in software testing are a plus.
