Must-Have Skills:

  1. BDD (Behavior Driven Development), TestNG, and Selenium-Cucumber experience for effective test automation.
  2. Webservices testing using the RestAssured framework to ensure the quality of API and web service interactions.
  3. Proficiency in Agile Methodology, with experience working in an Agile development environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop automated test scripts using BDD, TestNG, and Selenium-Cucumber to validate the functionality and performance of backend and full-stack applications.
  2. Conduct webservices testing using the RestAssured framework to verify the functionality and reliability of APIs and web services.
  3. Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and define test scenarios and test cases accordingly.
  4. Execute test cases, analyze test results, and track defects using a defect tracking system, ensuring timely resolution and retesting.
  5. Continuously improve test automation frameworks, processes, and methodologies to enhance test coverage and efficiency.
  6. Participate in sprint planning and daily stand-ups, providing inputs on testing efforts and identifying potential risks.
  7. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the software meets specified requirements and quality standards.
  8. Report test progress, test results, and quality metrics to project stakeholders, including test summary reports.
  9. Perform exploratory testing to identify potential defects and usability issues.
  10. Mentor and guide junior QA team members, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  2. At least 4+ years of experience as a Backend Full Stack QA Engineer, with a strong focus on test automation.
  3. Proven experience in BDD, TestNG, and Selenium-Cucumber for test automation.
  4. Hands-on experience in webservices testing using the RestAssured framework.
  5. Solid understanding of Agile Methodology and experience working in an Agile development environment.
  6. Knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  9. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, adapting to changing project requirements and priorities.
