Job Summary: As an Automation Testing Engineer at Hexaware Technologies, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software through systematic testing and automation. You will work with cutting-edge tools and technologies, including Selenium, Java, Cucumber BDD, and Test NG, to develop and execute test cases and contribute to the creation of a robust testing framework. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems testing and software QA practices, along with expertise in Selenium and other related tools.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Automation Testing: Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium, Java, Cucumber BDD, and Test NG to validate software functionality, performance, and user experience.
2. Systems Testing: Possess a strong foundation in systems testing and apply software QA best practices, methodologies, and techniques to identify defects and ensure the software meets quality standards.
3. Framework Development: Create and enhance a structured and scalable test automation framework to improve testing efficiency and maintainability.
4. Bug Tracking: Utilize enterprise bug tracking systems such as JIRA and Confluence to log defects, track their status, and collaborate with development teams for timely resolution.
5. Database Testing: Gain exposure to SQL queries to perform database testing and validate data integrity as part of the testing process.
6. Shift Flexibility: Be open to working in 2nd shifts (1 pm – 10 pm) to support project requirements and ensure seamless communication with global teams.
7. Communication: Demonstrate good English communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and clients.
8. Test Reporting: Prepare clear and concise test reports, including test results, defects, and progress updates, for project management and relevant stakeholders.
9. Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and technologies to drive continuous improvement in testing processes.
10. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including developers and business analysts, to understand requirements and provide valuable input during the development lifecycle.

Requirements :

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
2. Experience: Minimum of 3.5 to 10 years of experience in Automation Testing, with a strong focus on Selenium.
3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Selenium, Java, Cucumber BDD, and Test NG is essential for this role.
4. Bug Tracking Tools: Familiarity with using bug tracking tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
5. Database Knowledge: Good exposure to SQL queries for database testing and validation.
6. Shift Flexibility: Ability to work in 2nd shifts (1 pm – 10 pm) to accommodate project requirements.
7. Communication: Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with team members and clients.
8. Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing project priorities and work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
9. Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure accurate test case creation and defect reporting.
10. Team Player: A collaborative mindset with a willingness to work as part of a team and share knowledge and expertise.
