Key Responsibilities:

As an Automation QA Engineer at QBurst, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and product managers, to deliver software that meets and exceeds user expectations.

  • Automation Testing: Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks. Ensure comprehensive test coverage for various software components and functionalities.
  • Test Planning: Contribute to the creation of test plans, strategies, and scenarios. Collaborate with the QA team to define testing objectives, scope, and methodologies.
  • Test Execution: Execute test scripts, identify defects, and track issues to resolution. Conduct thorough regression testing to ensure the stability of software releases.
  • Defect Reporting: Document defects and issues accurately, providing detailed steps to reproduce. Collaborate with developers to facilitate the timely resolution of identified issues.
  • Test Framework Enhancement: Contribute to the enhancement of automated test frameworks, tools, and processes. Continuously seek opportunities to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Quality Advocacy: Advocate for best practices in software testing, quality assurance, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with the team to maintain and elevate QA standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with developers and other stakeholders to understand requirements, user stories, and technical specifications. Participate in design and code reviews to provide valuable QA insights.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, tools, and technologies in the automation testing field. Apply this knowledge to optimize testing practices and improve product quality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in automation testing.
  • Proficiency in automation testing tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar.
  • Experience with scripting languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, best practices, and defect management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an attention to detail.
