Position: Automation QA Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
- Execute and analyze automated test results, identify defects, and report issues to the development team.
- Collaborate with software engineers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Participate in test planning activities, including test strategy, test estimation, and test schedule preparation.
- Work closely with the development team to review and provide feedback on functional and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with the manual testing team to identify test cases suitable for automation.
- Continuously enhance and maintain the automation testing framework and tools.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging industry trends, tools, and techniques in automation testing.
- Provide accurate and timely test status reports to project stakeholders.
- Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-8 years of experience in automation testing, preferably in a software development environment.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Experience with automation testing tools/frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver, Appium, or Robot Framework.
- Proficiency in using industry-standard tools for defect tracking and test management, such as Jira, HP ALM, or TestRail.
- Solid understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
