Position: Automation QA Engineer

Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
  2. Execute and analyze automated test results, identify defects, and report issues to the development team.
  3. Collaborate with software engineers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  4. Participate in test planning activities, including test strategy, test estimation, and test schedule preparation.
  5. Work closely with the development team to review and provide feedback on functional and technical specifications.
  6. Collaborate with the manual testing team to identify test cases suitable for automation.
  7. Continuously enhance and maintain the automation testing framework and tools.
  8. Stay up-to-date with emerging industry trends, tools, and techniques in automation testing.
  9. Provide accurate and timely test status reports to project stakeholders.
  10. Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. 3-8 years of experience in automation testing, preferably in a software development environment.
  3. Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
  4. Experience with automation testing tools/frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver, Appium, or Robot Framework.
  5. Proficiency in using industry-standard tools for defect tracking and test management, such as Jira, HP ALM, or TestRail.
  6. Solid understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
  7. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
  8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  9. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  10. Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
