This role requires frequent interaction with project managers, developers, third-party application vendors, product managers, sales and helpdesk professionals in order to ensure that we deliver a quality-trading platform to our users. The candidate will be tasked with understanding business and system requirements, database schemas, writing, maintaining, and executing automated test scenarios and logging and tracking defects when necessary. The candidate is expected to demonstrate a strong knowledge of software development design principles and foundational design patterns especially pertaining to functional test automation. In addition, candidate is expected to have strong awareness of software testing, including functional, regression, and system testing. The candidate should have good working knowledge of Java language ecosystem, CI/CD and source control concepts, and related tools and utilities. The candidate will also be expected to have strong SQL knowledge and is able to do data retrieval and aggregation for use in their automation test cases.
