Position: manual testing, automation testing and API testing

Location: Kochi, Kerala

IBS, a leading software development company based in Kochi, Kerala, is currently hiring for a Testing Role. We are seeking experienced professionals with 2+ years of experience in software testing. If you have a strong background in manual testing, automation testing, and API testing, this is an excellent opportunity to join our dynamic team and contribute to the success of our projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform manual testing of software applications to ensure their quality, reliability, and functionality.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements.
  • Conduct various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
  • Identify and report defects using defect tracking tools, and collaborate with the development team to resolve them.
  • Participate in test automation efforts by designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks.
  • Execute automated test scripts and analyze the test results to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of automated testing.
  • Conduct API testing to verify the functionality, performance, and reliability of APIs.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to understand project goals, requirements, and timelines.
  • Provide timely and accurate reports on test execution progress, test results, and overall project quality.
  • Continuously update and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in software testing.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in manual testing techniques and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in designing and executing test cases and test scripts.
  • Experience in various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking tools and the ability to track and report defects effectively.
  • Experience in automation testing, including the design and implementation of test automation frameworks and the development of automated test scripts.
  • Good understanding of API testing principles and hands-on experience in API testing using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or similar.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
