Job Description

Qualification and Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in quality assurance and testing roles, with at least 8 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing QA strategies that improve product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • In-depth knowledge of QA methodologies, testing tools, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience in risk assessment, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action planning.
  • Familiarity with agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Quality certifications such as ISTQB, ASQ, or similar are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Quality Strategy and Planning:Develop and execute a comprehensive QA strategy that aligns with the company’s business objectives.
  • Identify key quality metrics and benchmarks to measure and track the effectiveness of QA processes.
  • Define QA goals, objectives, and key results (OKRs) in collaboration with senior management.
  • Team Leadership and Management:Lead and mentor a team of QA professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing QA team culture that emphasizes continuous improvement.
  • Process Improvement:Assess and enhance existing QA processes, methodologies, and tools to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implement industry best practices and stay updated on emerging QA trends and technologies.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation:Identify potential quality risks and work with cross-functional teams to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis for defects, incidents, and non-conformities, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaboration and Communication:Collaborate with product management, development, and operations teams to ensure a holistic approach to quality throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Communicate QA status, progress, and issues to stakeholders, including executive leadership.
  • Quality Assurance Documentation:Oversee the creation and maintenance of QA documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards relevant to the company’s products and services.
  • Continuous Learning and Development:Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in QA methodologies.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning within the QA team and promote professional growth.
  • Technical Skills – Require programming skills to write computer code in Java, C# and/or Python
  • Suggest /Make framework enhancements to accommodate the scripting needs and Should have built automation frameworks from scratch.
  • Analytical skills – Analytically examine bug reports, prioritize necessary tests, and streamline
  • application functions through automated testing processes
  • Attention to detail – Being detail oriented is required as you will test web and mobile applications
  • to find ways to improve them and isolate problems
  • Communication skills – Strong verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with the
  • engineering team and create testing plans and written reports showing errors
  • Write, design, and execute test cases with business stakeholders for UAT/ORT. Manage team of automation engineers
  • Maximize test coverage for the most critical features of the system;
  • Determine the priority for test scenarios and create execution plans to implement these scenarios. Manage client’s expectations and ensure smooth test journey.
  • Write documentation for automated processes including test plans, test procedures, and test cases. Review and manage the test artefacts and gain sign-off from the client stakeholders
  • Knowledge of Agile is a must and must be aware of all the ceremonies and can run the scrum ceremonies as required
