We’re a lean, extremely fast-moving, and highly productive team. We’ve shipped 60+ features and experiences in the last 3 years. We’ve reached feature parity with the largest player in our market space and we are rapidly gaining market share after raising our Series A last year.

Now we’re going through a bit of a transition as we refine and scale our existing features and add others to solidify our advantage in the space and invest even more in bringing more of our products to a point where we can confidently say they are #1 in the space.

Responsibilities

  • Own the design, implementation, and roll-out of our selected test automation framework (Playwright)
  • Actively write automation test scripts using Playwright
  • Manage, develop and grow a small team of QA Automation Engineers
  • Own automation testing across all our development teams (pods)
  • Own the integration of automated testing with our CI/CD Pipeline, Test Management tool (TestRail) & Reporting Dashboards (JIRA)
  • Evangelize and drive high test automation coverage & test automation goals
  • Work closely with the Product QA teams to identify new automation opportunities
  • Support QA Engineers to accelerate test automation by training them, conducting code reviews, and solving technical issues

Your First 30 Days

  • Learn and assess the QA documentation and processes that each pod uses
  • Learn several product areas/domains to determine the initial scope of the first set of automation regression tests
  • Successfully write and deploy initial automation tests
  • Successfully get a basic automation regression test suite to execute as part of our CI./CD process
  • Create the process for regression test handoff from manual QA to the automation team for inclusion in automated regression test suites

Requirements

  • You thrive on intense, fast-paced teams and you’re looking to be pushed and grow personally
  • At least 5 or more years of overall software development/ quality assurance experience the majority in QA Automation
  • Advanced or expert-level knowledge with Playwright (https://playwright.dev/) , an end-to-end testing automation framework
  • Strong programming experience, preferably in JavaScript and Python
  • You have experience in an early-stage startup environment and can navigate uncertainty but you can also be responsible for QA products at scale
  • You are able to track many threads at once, but you have the organization skills to set up and maintain systems to help things flow smoothly without constant intervention to avoid having to keep many things in your head
  • You have the ability to operate with short and fast-release cycles
  • You have product intuition and a critical perspective about how products should work
  • You have experience testing modern web applications built with Reach and/or Django
  • You have familiarity with CICD pipelines
  • You have experience with standard QA and development tools (TestRail, Zephr)
  • You have experience testing using Chrome dev tools
  • You’re comfortable with project management tools like JIRA
