Position: Software Test Engineer (Manual Feature Testing)

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in functional specification and software design reviews to understand the requirements and design of the software features.
  • Design and develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for manual feature testing.
  • Execute manual tests to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of software features.
  • Identify and document software defects, issues, and potential areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other stakeholders, to ensure timely and accurate testing of software features.
  • Conduct regression testing to verify the stability and compatibility of software features.
  • Perform root cause analysis for identified defects and work with the development team to resolve them.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in manual testing and networking technologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Solid experience in manual feature testing in a software development environment.
  • Strong knowledge and expertise in one or more of the following areas: Ethernet, RSTP/MSTP, VLANs, IP Routing, TCP/IP, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, IGMP, PIM SM/SSM, QoS, L2-L3 protocols, platform validation, HA, QoS, and network management.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts, protocols, and technologies.
  • Proficiency in designing and executing comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for manual testing.
  • Experience with defect tracking tools and test management systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
