Position: Senior Manual Tester (Domain – Life Insurance)

Location: Gurugram/Bangalore

Notice Period: Immediate

Job Summary: Test Yantra Software Solutions is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manual Tester with expertise in the Life Insurance domain. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Policy Servicing modules, preferably with previous experience in Ingenium. Proficiency in working with databases is also essential for this role. The candidate should have a strong understanding of the insurance domain and be able to effectively perform manual testing activities. This is a full-time position with Test Yantra Software Solution Pvt Ltd., and the selected candidate will have the opportunity to work in Gurugram or Bangalore, based on their preference

Responsibilities:

  • Perform manual testing activities for projects related to the Life Insurance domain.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of Policy Servicing modules to effectively test and validate system functionalities.
  • Work with databases to verify data integrity and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, and stakeholders, to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Design and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts based on project specifications and business requirements.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using defect tracking tools, and work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
  • Generate test reports and provide regular updates on the testing progress to the project team.
  • Participate in test planning, test estimation, and test strategy activities.
  • Contribute to the improvement of the testing process by providing feedback and suggesting enhancements.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to the Life Insurance domain.

Requirements:

  • 4 to 8 years of experience as a Manual Tester in the insurance domain.
  • Strong knowledge of Policy Servicing modules within the Life Insurance domain, preferably with previous experience in Ingenium.
  • Proficiency in working with databases to perform data validation and verification.
  • Familiarity with the end-to-end testing process, including test case design, test execution, and defect management.
  • Ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in generating test reports and providing regular updates on testing progress.
  • Knowledge of testing tools and defect tracking systems.
  • ISTQB certification in software testing is a plus.
