About The Job

We’re looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join our Quality Assurance, Engineering Team and be part of one of the most successful insurtech-startups in Germany selling our services across Europe and Japan.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will write new and maintain existing end to end test scripts for our wide variety of applications (AngularJS, REST APIs, AWS Lambda functions, Backend and Frontend Applications written on PHP/Go/React)
  • You take ownership of the quality of our web sites,(frontend and backend) and the creation and execution of test plans and test cases in multi browser and multiplatform
  • You will collaborate between our product owners and developers
  • You will contribute actively in design reviews, grooming, planning and stand-up meetings
  • You will proactively support Software Testing and will provide suggestions to our IT department by actively testing new software features
  • You will develop new test-cases and learn the difference between Manual and Automation testing

Bring to the team

  • Strong experience in automated testing and previous years of hands-on quality assurance work with web-based applications
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, analytical mindset & team-player
  • You have the ability to work mostly autonomously, with high quality awareness, and reliability
  • Excellent Java programming and debugging skills, including experience with test automation tools and libraries such as Selenium, TestNG
  • Maintain and update an automation framework with a centralized test case repository in CI
  • Collaborate with other testing teams for knowledge sharing and technology unification
  • Previous experience in SOAP/REST Protocols, XML, JSON, CI/CD build tools like Jenkins or similar
  • You are fluent in English
