Your Role And Responsibilities
As a QA Test Engineer Sr Specialist, your focus will be breaking down requirements into test scenarios, writing automation scripts covering API and UI applications, evaluating tools/frameworks and drive innovation in test automation space. Besides working closely with your colleagues in Bangalore, you will also work closely with Nasdaq teams in other countries.
- Creates, executes and maintains test automation scripts against requirements. Is required to test either front end or back end software components (or both) and apply industry best practices
- Enhance existing frameworks and scripts
- Review peers merge requests and approve
- Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies
- Report software anamolies in defect tracking tool JIRA
- Work closely with product manager, business analysts and developers
- Support product releases through regular execution test scripts, results analysis and submit the reports.
- Suggest and adopt innovative trends in test automation areas (using AI/ML)
- Support other product teams in quality engineering when ever required, through active participation in internal QA/QE community forum and other tech forums
- Generate various test metrics and reports.
We expect you to have
- Education Required: Bachelor in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
- Experience Required: 7 -12 years
- Expertise in Rest-Assured or Karate libraries
- Expertise in Playwright or Selenium Web Driver
- Proficient in Core JAVA
- Knowledge in javascript/typescript
- Expertise in automation framework development
- Experience in build tools like Maven or Gradle
- Experience with Git
- Knowledge on CI/CD and Gitlab CI is a plus
- Knowledge on Tricentis qTest is a plus
- Hands-on experience in performance testing is a plus
