Senior Automation Test Engineer | Alternative Path | WFH

Alternative Path is looking for a Senior Automation Test Engineer, to assist one of its clients. In this role, you would be responsible for building and executing test automation strategies for our clients. You will be working on international product-based clients, who use latest tools and technologies.

Role: Senior Automation Test Engineer – Cypress/Playwright

Key Responsibilities:

 Lead and define functional and API automation strategy for the product in collaboration with development, product and QA team.
 Writing Automation test scripts with the aim to carry out automated regression tests after every update and release of the new software version Execute and monitor automated test cases, and report bugs
 Reduce time for testing cycles, so that product enhancements could be released faster
 Implement automation testing in CI/CD pipelines
 Identify need of new automation tools and work toward creation a better ecosystem which promotes automation first strategy

Desired Skills and Experience:

 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline
 Experience of 3-5 Years in automated testing domain  Expertise in working latest automation tools like cypress, playwright, web driver I/O
 Strong grip on programming concepts with expertise on at least one programming language
 Experience in writing test automation scripts and a good understanding of standard automation frameworks
 Knowledge of CI tools like Maven, Jenkins, Github, and related build deployment processes
 Hands-on experience in API Testing (HTTP and RESTful web services) using JMeter/postman etc.
 Working experience in testing web applications with databases such as (SQL/MongoDB, etc.)
 Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes with an Understanding the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) Models – AGILE, Sprint, etc.
