Position: QA Engineer

Location: Mohali, Punjab

Responsibilities:

  • Perform manual testing of software applications to ensure they meet quality standards and functional requirements.
  • Develop and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Conduct functional testing to verify that the software meets the specified functional requirements.
  • Perform API testing to validate the integration and functionality of APIs used in the software applications.
  • Conduct web application testing to ensure the usability, compatibility, and performance of web-based applications.
  • Perform UI testing to verify the user interface elements and ensure a seamless user experience.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve defects or issues found during testing.
  • Report and document test results, defects, and any issues encountered during the testing process.
  • Participate in the review and improvement of software development processes to enhance overall quality assurance practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in software testing methodologies and tools.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a QA Engineer or a similar role, with 6 months to 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of manual testing principles and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in functional testing techniques, including test case creation, execution, and defect reporting.
  • Experience in API testing using tools like Postman or similar frameworks.
  • Familiarity with web application testing, including cross-browser compatibility and usability testing.
  • Knowledge of UI testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium or similar technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • ISTQB certification or any other relevant software testing certifications will be an added advantage.
