Position: QA Automation Engineer
Location: Bangalore
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive automated test suites and scripts using Selenium or Cypress, ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand application requirements and functionality.
- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and testing infrastructure to support ongoing testing efforts.
- Conduct API testing to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of the software applications.
- Perform root cause analysis of defects, identify trends, and work closely with the development team to resolve issues and improve software quality.
- Collaborate with the QA team to define and execute test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
- Perform manual testing as needed to ensure comprehensive test coverage and uncover edge cases.
- Continuously enhance and improve the automation testing process and methodologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies related to QA automation, and apply them to enhance the testing process.
- Maintain documentation related to test cases, test results, and defects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in the field of QA automation.
- Hands-on experience in Selenium or Cypress for automation testing.
- Strong hands-on experience in at least one testing framework.
- Experience in API testing, including knowledge of RESTful APIs and tools like Postman.
- Good understanding of the applications you have worked on and their underlying technologies.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java or JavaScript for developing automated test scripts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
