Performance Testing Engineer at Cigres

Position: Performance Testing Engineer

Location: Bangalore

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with the development and testing teams to understand performance requirements and objectives for various software applications and systems.
2. Design, develop, execute, and maintain performance test scripts and scenarios using LoadRunner.
3. Conduct performance testing, including load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing, to identify performance bottlenecks and areas of improvement.
4. Analyze performance test results and provide recommendations for optimizing system performance, scalability, and reliability.
5. Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues.
6. Develop and maintain test data, test environments, and test harnesses for performance testing.
7. Automate performance testing using Java and related tools, frameworks, and libraries.
8. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure performance testing aligns with project timelines and objectives.
9. Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in performance testing methodologies, tools, and technologies.
10. Document performance test plans, test cases, and test results.
11. Communicate test progress, results, and issues to stakeholders, including project managers, development teams, and business stakeholders.

Requirements:

1. 4 to 8 years of experience in performance testing, including load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing.
2. Strong experience with LoadRunner for performance testing.
3. Proficiency in scripting and automation using Java.
4. Solid understanding of performance testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
5. Hands-on experience with performance profiling and monitoring tools.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze performance test results and identify performance bottlenecks.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to stakeholders.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet project deadlines.
9. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is preferred but not required.
