Position: Manual Tester

Location: Gurgaon, India

Responsibilities:

  • Test Planning: Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and define test objectives, strategies, and plans.
  • Test Execution: Perform thorough manual testing of software applications to identify bugs, defects, and areas for improvement.
  • Test Case Development: Create and maintain detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test data sets to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Defect Reporting: Document and report defects using bug tracking tools, providing clear and concise details for effective communication with the development team.
  • Defect Tracking: Monitor and track the progress of reported defects, ensuring timely resolution and proper closure.
  • Test Documentation: Prepare and maintain test artifacts, including test plans, test reports, and other relevant documentation.
  • Regression Testing: Conduct regular regression testing to ensure the stability and integrity of the software applications.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure effective communication and seamless software delivery.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the enhancement of testing methodologies and practices, actively participating in process improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Manual Tester in a software development environment is required.
  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: a. Strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies, concepts, and best practices. b. Proficiency in creating and executing test cases, test scenarios, and test data sets. c. Familiarity with bug tracking tools and defect management processes. d. Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing lifecycle (STLC).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to testing, with an eye for identifying and documenting software issues.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
