About the Company: Active Requirement is a reputable company based in Mumbai, specializing in providing staffing solutions and recruitment services to various industries. We are currently seeking an experienced Manual Tester to join our team. As a Manual Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications, particularly within the banking domain. The ideal candidate should have strong manual testing skills and experience working in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Perform manual testing of software applications to ensure their functionality, usability, and reliability.
  2. Develop and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts based on project requirements.
  3. Conduct testing activities within the banking domain, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to gather requirements and provide testing insights.
  5. Work in an Agile environment, participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.
  6. Identify and report defects and issues using bug tracking tools, and collaborate with the development team to resolve them.
  7. Perform regression testing to ensure that software changes or enhancements do not impact existing functionalities.
  8. Create and maintain testing documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  9. Conduct risk analysis and prioritize testing activities based on the impact and likelihood of defects.
  10. Continuously update testing skills and knowledge to stay abreast of industry trends and best practices.

Requirements:

  1. 2.5-6 years of experience as a Manual Tester.
  2. Strong expertise in manual testing methodologies and techniques.
  3. Experience working in the banking domain, understanding key processes and compliance requirements.
  4. Proficiency in using bug tracking tools for defect reporting and tracking.
  5. Knowledge of Agile methodology and experience working in an Agile development environment.
  6. Excellent understanding of software testing concepts, test design, and test execution.
  7. Familiarity with test management tools and version control systems.
  8. Good analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and isolate defects.
  9. Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and report findings.
  10. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
