The Global innovation unit leads Yara’s transformation towards a nature-positive food future, by innovating our offerings based on exceptional R&D and sound customer insights. GI leads the positioning of Yara’s new solutions and works closely with the 3 regions to ensure successful commercialisation towards all actors of the food value chain (farmers, channel partners, Food companies, etc..) while building solid capabilities & sharing knowledge across the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Drive QA of highly scalable, available and secured event driven microservices in collaboration with the team and other stakeholders such as DevOps, Enterprise/Domain Architecture, and Cyber Security.
- Translate technical realities into business terms. When facing conversations with customers, business owners or other stakeholders, the leader is able to translate different technical concepts, topics, issues or options into business terms; adapts the level of detail and tone depending on the audience. Sometimes can be used as bridge by some of the developers when they are focused on technical duties.
- Align with company’s strategies and objectives.
- Collaborating with product management to work towards achieving the company’s and team’s goals.
- Contribute to technical decisions and strategy to further the long-term product vision.
Profile
- Lead a team of QA Engineers and oversee all phases of development and QA.
- Experience mentoring junior & mid-level software engineers
- Have min 8+ years of experience building scalable backend services
- Strong proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for test automation.
- Experience with JavaScript and Typescript.
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex backend issues.
