Role Overview
The Sr. Software Engineer – Software Integration & Testing will be a member of the Software team responsible for testing Software on multiple components in Fisker’s advanced next generation EE architecture. This candidate will write the test scripts, test cases, test procedures using vector tools and Capl script for all test levels as Component testing (SWE.4), Integration testing (SWE.5) and Qualification testing (SWE.6), also would develop rest bus simulation (RBS) for the system. The candidate will report to the EE System Software Design Manager. They will also work closely with internal and external stakeholders such as suppliers and technology partners.
Responsibilities
- Defining test strategy, Software test plans, Test reporting and coordinating for software release testing activities.
- Hands-on experience in in Black Box, White Box, Functional, Manual, Diagnostic Testing of CAN LIN based Automotive Applications.
- Hands-on experience in Software testing for all test levels Component testing (SWE.4), Integration testing (SWE.5) and Qualification testing (SWE.6)
- Responsible for delivery of the of the Software test activities, tools, trainings for complete SW test team.
- Hands-on experience in creating CANoe/CANalyzer configuration.
- Hands-on experience in CAPL and Python scripting languages.
- Experience in HIL and SIL testing.
- Hands-on experience in creating RBS for the test simulation.
- Manage the test releases of software under test in a continuous integration environment.
- Continuously enhance your software test scripts to identify the software issues etc.
- Support internal and external stakeholders with software test results.
Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, computer science or computer engineering.
- 6+ years of hands-on software testing (Black Box, White Box, Functional, Manual) and testing for all test levels Component testing (SWE.4), Integration testing (SWE.5) and Qualification testing (SWE.6) in a fast-paced organization.
- Deep expertise in CAPL, RBS creation and Python scripting.
- Hands-on in defining test strategy, Software test plans, Test reporting and coordinating for software release testing activities.
- Prior experience designing and delivering automated test environment for the automotive systems.
- Good understanding of embedded system software and operating system architectures.
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be comfortable with operating in a fast-paced, startup environment.
Preferred Attributes/ Competencies
- Master’s degree in Electronics, computer science or computer engineering.
- Good understanding of automotive EE hardware architectures and integration processes.
- Strong familiarity with emerging connected, software-defined vehicle technologies.
- Good understanding of automotive safety system design and safety levels.
- Strong understanding of ISO26262 and relevant automotive safety and cybersecurity standards.
- Good understanding of different microcontroller / microprocessor architectures like TI TDA4, NXP S32 series and Infineon Aurix TC3 series.
- Good understanding of ASPICE framework.
