- 4 Years PostgreSQL Administration experience.
- Must have experience in PostgreSQL database architecture, logical and physical design, automation, documentation, installs, shell scripting, PL/ SQL programming, catalog navigation, query tuning, system tuning, resource contention analysis, backup and recovery, standby, replication, etc.
- Must have a deeper understanding of the PostgreSQL architecture and internals.
- Deep understanding of latest PostgreSQL version.
- Extensive experience with Backup and Recovery.
- Extensive experience with PostgreSQL Patching, version upgrades and migrations.
- Demonstrated experience and analyzing query, troubleshooting and performance turning.
- Must have knowledge on implementing Automatic failover, Parallel backups and Connection Pooling using Open Source tools.
- Must have knowledge on the most widely used extensions in PostgreSQL for monitoring, analyzing and maintaining the databases.
- Must be able to handle Catalog Corruptions, Database Corruptions and Point in time recovery
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Participate in a 24 X 7 production support rotation.
- Strong Automation & coding skills using Bash or python, SDLC, CI/CD, etc.
- Experience with other RDBMS (Db2 LUW or MS SQL Server or Oracle) will be plus.
