About This Role
This role will be responsible for working closely with our Product and Engineering teams to ensure that our application is delivered with the highest level of quality. While this position is a manual testing role – we also encourage you to use automation or automation tools to make our product the best it can be.
You’ll be joining an existing team – with a QA Engineer (for a total of 2 QA members supporting approximately 13 Full Stack Engineers) – we are looking for someone who’s excited by working in a small team / startup environment.
What We’re Looking For
- For this role – we’re looking for someone who will:
- Work with leadership to develop strategies for manual application and feature testing
- Perform regression testing and integration testing of the application
- Perform feature testing of newly developed / in development features
- Accurately report and/or track bugs
- Develop test cases for new features based upon business requirements
- Develop and maintain test cases for regression and light regression testing of the application
- Be detail oriented – because we’re dealing with financial data, testing our application can involve the need for a complex set of data and scenarios
- What Really Makes You Stand Out In This Role
- Knowledge of accounting software / previous experience as an accountant
- Experience with creating and running performance testing against production and development versions of the application
Software QA Analyst at Avise
As a Software QA Analyst II at Avise – you’re helping to ensure the quality of the application we are building – an application with the goal of becoming the single source of financial information for companies. You are a hands-on professional with knowledge of testing practices and an ability to translate business requirements into solid test cases.
In your day-to-day, you’ll work with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and Product and Engineering leadership to coordinate and test our application and its new/existing features.
We expect all QA Analysts at Avise to:
- Collaborate with the development and product teams to test application features
- Coordinate with the QA Engineer to understand automated test coverage plan for new functionality
- Build out and maintain test suites to meet the needs of users & product priorities
- Learn & collaborate with colleagues to ensure that all future application features meet the business and testing requirements
- Have a voice! Share your feedback on processes, procedures, the company and more to a leadership team who are willing to listen
- Be able to work independently on tasks – but also be willing to call out when you need help or assistance
