We’re assisting our reputable client in the real estate industry with the search for a QA Test Analyst who will join their team a on 1+ year contract. This contract has a very strong possibility of extension.
Office location: Downtown Ottawa (working onsite 1-2 days a week)
Reports to: Manager, Quality Assurance
Pay rates: $35-50/HR
Roles and Responsibilities
- Work within the Agile team to estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
- Review acceptance criteria, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Create, maintain and execute comprehensive test strategies and test cases for our web applications and backend products
- Identify, record, document, and track bugs
- Provide effective communication regarding the status of an application under test
- Perform back end (DB) and data validity testing as required
- Run, debug, analyze and maintain test automation suites
- Perform integration, functional, and regression tests on new and existing functionality
Qualifications and Experience
- 5+ years’ experience working in the Software Quality Assurance field with hands-on skills in Agile methodologies
- Working experience planning and executing various types of tests (functional, regression, compatibility, performance, localization, etc.) for web applications and native IOS and Android apps
- Hands-on experience with manual testing, creating and executing test cases, test scripts, test scenarios, preparing test plans, test case designs, and black box testing processes
- Solid understanding and experience in manual and/or automated testing of RESTful web services using Postman or any other tools
- Proven relational database knowledge and experience – able to understand, create and execute database SQL queries
- Experience with automating testing for web applications and API using Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Nunit, Junit, Maven, RestAssured, RestSharp, and other tools/technologies
- Able to understand programming languages (Java, C#, HTML, XML, JavaScript)
Nice to have:
- Experience with source control tools, preferably GIT and Azure DevOps
- Proficiency in the French language is an asset
