Our client, Energy Exemplar, is a leading end-to-end integrated solution provider. Established in 1999, they are a global presence that are responsible for creating software & data sets that simulate real-world energy markets to deliver exceptional decision insights.
About The Role
We are looking for a QA Engineer to join Energy Exemplar’s expanding technology team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Software Engineering, the core focus is to ensure that any product functionality released to the public is robust, error free and accurate. This will involve the use of both automated and manual testing of code developed by the global development team.
Other Key Responsibilities Include
- Reviewing requirements for testability
- Determining test conditions and test objectives
- Creating comprehensive test plans, scripts, and scenarios for testing
- Liaising with clients and staff to reproduce any defective issues reported within the software
- Ensuring high priority items are addressed urgently
- Raising and closing clear and concise defects when necessary, within the systems in place
About You
We are looking for a candidate with a strong technical background that is excited by the prospect of working in a growing team.
- To Compliment This, You Will Bring
- 3+ years’ commercial experience in a testing environment and therefore experience with the full Testing lifecycle (requirements, planning, designing, execution, reporting)
- Basic development skills with .NET (including VB.NET and C#), and other development languages (e.g. C++, Python, etc.)
- Experience in the use of software testing methodologies, techniques and tools
- Demonstrated experience designing and running automation tests for software applications, experience with test automation tools
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
