GENERAL SUMMARY:

The QA Analyst will work side by side with development and business partners to determine optimal test coverage, ensure data quality, and implementation support. They will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing the testing effort for a variety of projects. Work with their peers across the organization to drive test efficiencies and enhance the enterprise testing process. Will help with data, report testing using automation and manual testing methodologies. Update documents and user training guides.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Primary support for Bank Data related projects to include requesting, profiling, extracting, analyzing, testing, and reviewing data.
  • Create, manage, and analyze test plans, test cases, defects, test results, and corrective action
  • Identify problems or areas for improvement and recommend solutions
  • Document testing procedures, methodologies, or criteria
  • Using tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources.
  • Create reporting utilizing business intelligence tools when applicable.
  • Collaborate with internal and external technical resources to help manage the Bank’s overall strategy and drive the solution, customization, and integration efforts.
  • Adherence to IT Governance and Data Governance standards.
  • Create and maintain system procedures.
  • This person may also be responsible for any project/activity assigned such as documenting business requirements, defining scope, and objective, and creating system specifications that drive system development and implementation.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in technology-related field or relevant experience in implementing software for a financial institution.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 year’s work experience in as a business or QA analyst, with a focus on Banking Systems or Transaction Monitoring/ Sanctions screening systems preferred.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experienced with data testing and validation.
  • Power BI, Tableau or similar analytical tool experience
  • Intermediary database skills (i.e., SQL, Access, other)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with administration of systems that supports financial data.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as MS Project, Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to self – start and work independently while engaging in multiple initiates, interacting with a diverse group of management, executives, and subject matter experts
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to clearly communicate business problem and solutions to management.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in financial systems is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of BSA/AML Regulations, PATRIOT ACT, and BSA/AML system development experience is preferred
