As a Senior Software Engineer in Test, you will get to explore and work with cutting-edge technologies and a large and rich data set. Key Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain high quality tests for services and systems, adhering to best practices and coding standards, covering various scenarios and functionalities of the software
Verify that the software meets the specified requirements by executing test cases based on the functional and non-functional requirements including integration testing, UI, API and performance testing
Work closely with developers and stakeholders to communicate issues, understand the code changes, and ensure that the software is being developed with quality in mind
Identify and report defects or issues in the software, providing detailed information to help developers understand and fix the problems
Perform regression testing to ensure that the changes do not negatively impact the existing functionality of the software
Conduct exploratory testing to find defects that might not be covered by predefined test cases. This involves creatively exploring the software to uncover potential issues.
Assess the software’s user interface and overall user experience to ensure it meets design and usability standards
Follow established testing standards and processes to maintain consistency and ensure the reliability of the testing process, as well as documenting all test cases, test results, and any issues found during testing for stakeholders
Guide junior members of the team in planning and execution of work
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices related to test development and cloud technologies

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent from a premier institution
7+ years of experience as a test automation engineer, with a strong focus on test cases development
Proficiency in test automation tools, frameworks and technologies such as for Java
Good understanding of software design principles and best practices
Proficiency in RESTful API testing, integration, performance and UI testing
Familiarity with database testing (SQL and/or NoSQL)
Must be able to work independently and deliver excellent results in short timelines
Technically lead and mentor juniors in the team, and drive planning and execution of work
Experience with containerization and orchestration tools
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Experience with public cloud platform
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
