Job Description
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Quality Specialist to join a new engineering team being setup in Bangalore office.
- Own the test strategy, define, and write test cases/plans.
- Review requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases derived directly from product specifications and customer requirements.
- Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
- Develop automated tests.
- Strong understanding of QA processes and concepts including test case preparation and test methodologies.
- Communicate and manage expectations towards the team and the stakeholders.
- Develop Quality mindset in team to deliver high quality deliverables.
- Be the spokesperson and quality ambassador of team to the rest of the organization.
- Work with all development process contributors, e.g., Product Managers, Architects, Project Management, Scrum Masters, Developers, User Assistance Developer and DevOps to establish and execute a flawless development process.
Skills and Competencies
- Experience in agile development practices (SCRUM) test-driven development as well as domain-driven development is required.
- Apply Agile Software Engineering principles and DevOps model for continuous delivery.
- Ability to lead through and create progress when things aren’t clear, or the way forward is not yet well-defined.
- Communication skills that allow you to translate between different domains and adjust to different audiences.
- Design, implement and document functional test cases.
- Hands on experience in Webdriver, OPA5, Selenium, Cucumber · Drive root-causes analyses and implementation of identified improvement items.
- Execute and monitor automated test cases and merge manual activities.
- Maintain test catalogs
- Analyze quality issues, identify problematic areas and derive recommendations for the development team.
- Develop concepts for continuous improvements of tools, processes and testcases.
- An eye for non-functional requirements such as security, performance, scalability, availability, cost and operations.
What you bring
- 8+ years of experience in building software products / service
- Bachelors in computer science engineering or Technology (BE/B.Tech, MCA/MTech), or allied branches
- Experience in working as a Quality Specialist QPA / Quality Expert in an agile environment.
- Expertise in testing/building automation for cloud native applications
- Worked in the global teams with high levels of collaboration.
- Experience in cloud applications development will be an advantage.
- Good writing & presentation skills
