Job Summary
As a member of our Quality Assurance team, your goal is to ensure that our applications work as they should and meet customers’ needs. To accomplish this, you’ll join one of our high-performing Quality Assurance teams. You’ll draw on your testing knowledge and creativity to automate test capabilities and design test and maintenance procedures. You’ll also tap our existing test frameworks to tackle specific problems. We take a collaborative approach to quality, which means you’ll work with experienced developers, managers, and business partners across the organization. You’ll receive coaching, mentorship, and continuous feedback to help you become an even better technologist and professional.
Job Description
- This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities
- Proven ability to write automated tests
- Detailed understanding of common defect and data management tools
- Advanced knowledge of software lifecycles, including Waterfall and Agile, and test automation strategies
- Experience working effectively with teams and stakeholders to develop relationships and achieve common goals
- Proficiency in a business function and some understanding of the broader business context
- Provide estimates for user stories
Required Qualifications, Skills And Capabilities
- Bachelors or Masters Degree – preferably in Computer Science
- 9+ years of experience in building and maintaining test automation frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks specifically in Selenium and Cucumber
- Must have automation skills, deep understanding of web applications including HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript
- Working knowledge of Java and programming
- Experience with open-source test automation tools.
- Experience in applying Business driven development techniques (jUnit, Fitnesse, Selenium, Cucumber or similar tools)
- Experience in Continuous Integration and Deployment practices and tools (Jenkins or equivalent, Maven, Git, developer efficiency tools).
- Experience working in Agile teams, ability to focus and grasp business concepts explained during PBRs and creating test strategy and test scenarios.
- Strong written and oral communication.
- Good presentation and influential skills.
- Experience working on Unix.
- Passionate about testing strategy, problem solving, learning new skills, sharing expertise and knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications, Skills And Capabilities
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies
- Negotiate, communicate and deliver test solutions to Automation and QA organizations
- Experience in application testing and monitoring frameworks – jMeter, AppDynamics, Geneos, Fitnesse, PhantomJS etc.
