Quality Analyst | Indore, Madhya Pradesh | 1 to 2 years

Job Description:

As a Quality Analyst at Canopus Infosystems Pvt. Ltd., you will play a crucial role in the software development process. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through meticulous testing and analysis. This position requires a strong understanding of QA methodologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with development teams to deliver top-notch software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manual Testing:
   • Execute test cases (manual) and analyze results.
   • Conduct thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
   • Develop and document application test plans based on software requirements and technical specifications.
2. SDLC and QA Methodologies:
   • Apply your knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to identify test requirements from project specifications and documentation.
   • Implement QA methodologies to enhance and improve the testing process.
3. Defect Management:
   • Identify, document, and track software defects using established defect tracking tools.
   • Work closely with the development team to reproduce and resolve defects.
   • Verify defect fixes and ensure that the resolved issues do not affect other areas of the application.
4. Collaboration:
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and business analysts to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the software requirements and quality expectations.
   • Participate in project meetings and provide feedback on testing status, results, and project timelines.
5. Documentation:
   • Create and maintain detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
   • Document test results and prepare detailed reports, summarizing the findings and providing actionable recommendations for improvements.
6. Continuous Improvement:
   • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in QA methodologies and tools.
   • Proactively identify areas for improvement in the testing process and suggest innovative solutions to enhance overall software quality.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience:
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in Manual Testing.
  • Proven experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Technical Proficiency:
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and defect management tools.
  • Familiarity with various testing techniques including regression, functional, and integration testing.
• Analytical Skills:
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to think critically and creatively to identify potential issues and provide effective solutions.
• Communication Skills:
  • Good communication skills with the ability to clearly convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong written communication skills for documenting test plans, cases, and reports.
• Team Player:
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
